Great Reasons to Stop Smoking

There are plenty of reasons to stop smoking.  There’s that annoying thing about your health and longer life that keeps nagging at the back of your mind.  There’s that definite wheeze when you climb the stairs.  You know all that and know you’d be so much better off if you did stop smoking but sometimes you need some other kinds of reasons to stop smoking that hit closer to home.

Improve Your Social Life. You’re more likely to get kissed by a nonsmoker if you don’t taste like an ashtray.  And we all know that a kiss can lead to …

Improve Your Sex Life. Smoking affects your circulation, which limits blood flow to your genitals, which makes it more difficult for both men and women to get aroused and have much fun.

Save Money. Yes, you are going to be saving the price of all those packs of cigarettes.  Just for fun, tally up how many packs you buy a week (be honest, its just us), how much a pack costs in your neighborhood and then multiply by 52.  Wow.  More than you expected right?  Put that saved dough in the piggy bank and use it for a great treat that you’ll deserve.

Get More Work Done. Studies show that smokers take an average of 11 more sick days a year than nonsmokers.  They also take longer and more frequent breaks to grab that ciggie outside.
Drink Less Coffee.  Smokers bodies eliminate caffeine 56% faster than nonsmokers.  So drink less coffee and get the same buzz.

Warning Labels.  You can now feel smug every time you see a warning label on a pack of cigarettes knowing it doesn’t apply to you.

Play More Computer Games. You have a plausible excuse to play longer. Gotta keep those hands occupied! Studies show that online games also can distract you from smoking.

There’s Less Chance That You’ll Burn Down Your House. Smoking households are 6.6 times more likely to experience fire injury.  Cigarettes are the leading cause of death in household fires.

Of course the biggest reasons to stop smoking is your health and the health of your family, but sometimes we need a reminder of other ways cigarettes impact our lives.
